We are a 7 man band... The Clip Clop Club are consumate semi professionals who pride ourselves on the quality of our performance, our adaptability to different/difficult situations and our ability to entertain people from disparate age groups and backgrounds.

We have played over 2,000 gigs in our 20 year career including pubs, festivals, weddings, corporate functions, parties, radio, film and television (The Midday Show, Countdown, In Melbourne Tonight, Today Tonight, A Current Affair, Steve Vizard’s Tonight Live, Richard Stubbs’ Tonight Live).

Gary, Jim, Chris and Wes started learning 4 part harmony on classic cowboy songs like Cool Water, Ghost Riders In The Sky, Rawhide, Mule Train, etc... Since then the repertoire has grown to around 100 songs including many originals.

Who else would write and perform songs like Dad Found The Hand In The Haybale, Rabbit Shooting, Kylie’s Arse ( a tribute to an Australian icon’s finest feature) or their latest opus "I Moved In With Wayne Carey (And Me Missus Moved In Too)". Fun is the key word to describe The Clip Clop Club.

What other lead singer hands his mike into the crowd & encourages them to take over his job?

Who else would teach their blind singer how to pour free beer for the audience?

Who else would learn how to play 5 AC-DC songs in 90 seconds?

Over 2,000 gigs suggests someone must like them!

Fans over the years have included:

  • David Wenham
  • The Late Frank Galbally
  • Lillian Franke (and the Melbourne social set)
  • Richard Stubbs
  • Steve Bisley
  • Nick Cave
  • Totti Goldsmith (she danced with Big Jim)
  • Lee Freedman (2 of his Melbourne Cup parties)

The Clip Clop Club are consumate semi professionals who pride themselves in the quality of their performance, their adaptability to different/difficult situations and their ability to entertain people from disparate age groups and backgrounds.

They can make you laugh, make you cry, make you think and make you tap your toes… mostly laughter and toe tapping really.

The Clip Clop Club are uniquely Aussie in character and content.
